Top Club Stud 2002 GDC of Greater Houston
Breeder: Nikki Riggsbee (McEmn Danes)
(March 14, 1996 - September 05, 2002)
My fondest memories of a wonderful dog who loved all....
Magnum my life will never be the same without you. I'll love you forever and a day...
Magnum was a dog that has been a learning experience indeed. His normal weight is about 152 but when we have a bitch in season and he knows about it, that can drop dramatically by 15-20 pounds! He's cornered the market on the 'pant & love' diet. Now if we could just bottle that diet method we'd make America happy.
Magnum, was purchased by chance. I happened to call Nikki Riggsbee in Florida to breed to her fawn dog "Tytus". However, "Tytus" had just died and Nikki happened to have this one last litter sired naturally by him. I believe the litter had 5 brindle males and 2 fawn girls. I told Nikki I was sorry to hear of Tytus' passing. Well a few days went by and I kept thinking of those puppies. So I called her back....and the rest is history...that is when Magnum was flown to my home in Houston. Upon arrival at the airport, I through thought that dog just hung the moon. He was a very delightful happy puppy and so easy to house train. Now show training was another matter entirely. Magnum was so hard to train it took all my strength to hold onto him and show him at the same time. He just wanted to keep his nose to the dirt and sniff. His movement is so strong even at an early age that it had spectators and competitors alike telling me 'that dog has awesome movement'.
Eventually, I began to use Magnum at stud to my own girls and he's produced some beautiful puppies for me. He's only been bred outside of Dagmar once.
And now for his best angles, when showing off he wasn't born a TEXAN but he got here as fast as he could!
Happy 6th Birthday Magnum!!
